The Big Ridge Ballroom, Dromore
It used to be a cinema, but made its mark as a ballroom, up to the time that the show-bands were at their peak in Ireland in the 1960's and 70's. I was speaking to a local woman about it and she happened to mention that she went to a dance at the Rainbow "Ballroom of Romance" at Glenfarne; Trevor Cook wrote a book and a film was made based on it H0037 : Rainbow "Ballroom of Romance", Glenfarne
