Cottage with Porch: Drumnalost
Cottage with Porch: Drumnalost
A typical feature of the traditional Donegal cottage, the porch is a small protrusion with a roof of its own, the main purpose being to act as a windbreak around the door. The roof of the porch was a popular place to put the baked bread to cool, out of reach of children and chickens.
