Castles of Connacht: Castle Burke, Mayo
This five storey tower on the northern shore of Lough Carra was originally known as Kinvoynell. It was renamed after being granted to Miles Burke, fourth Viscount Mayo, whose successor sold it to the Brownes of Westport. The SE corner collapsed in recent times.
