The ILV 'Granuaile' in Bangor Bay
The 'Granuaile' is a tender of the Commissioners of Irish Lights (CIL) and is seen here just slowing to anchor in Bangor Bay for the night. CIL is the body that serves as the lighthouse authority for all of the island of Ireland (north and south) plus its adjacent seas and islands. 'Granuaile' was built at Galatz Shipyard, Romania in 2000 and is registered in Dublin. She has a length overall of 79.6 m, a beam of 15.99 m and a gross tonnage of 2625.
