NH8089 : Dornoch children and wavesAs a child I spent many happy hours playing on local beaches. It was through play that we developed an understanding of the world around us. We learned which rocks to avoid standing on because of their sharp nature and we knew which would be kind to our young feet. The ones in the photograph certainly seem to belong to the latter category. Just in case any potential tourists are put off by tales of a "storm raged beach" and the odd reference to "collected wastes" in the local estuarine environment, Dornoch beach is a European designated bathing beach.
