The cottage and associated structures can be seen in this distant view from the other side of the deep glen of the Gogo Water.
The cottage is located on the north-western slopes of Castle Hill; the summit of the hill is out of sight, to the left (it would not be well seen from this spot in any case), but an aerial photograph of the hilltop provides a fine view of an ancient fort that is located there: see
