Access cover, Antrim
Access cover marked "ATE" located on Church Street in Antrim. The initials stand for Automatic Telephone & Electric. Very likely a chamber in the footpath for the old vehicle actuated traffic signals that used a pneumatic rubber strip. There may be a glass bottle and bellows micro switch inside.

It bears a remarkable similarity to covers found in Belfast marked "ATM" such as J3374 : ATM manhole cover, Belfast.
