NG3734 : Jungle in the gorge

taken 13 years ago, near to Fernilea, Isle of Skye, Scotland

Jungle in the gorge
Jungle in the gorge
The steep-sided gorge of an un-named burn provides shelter for a profusion of trees and shrubs to cling to life on an otherwise tree-less hillside. There are at least six different species of tree or shrub here. The water beyond is Loch Harport, with houses in Fernilea on the far shore.
