W1424 : The Stags
4 km from Lickowen, Cork, Ireland

The Stags
A distinctive rock formation in the Atlantic about 1.5 Km South of Toe Head, West Cork, Ireland. It has been the site of several shipwrecks, notably that of the Kowloon Bridge ore carrier which was driven aground there in 1986, remaining visible for several weeks before being destroyed by the sea (See Link
for full details). The Stags actually occupy both W1424 and W1524, so can I claim two geograph points for this image? Picture taken from the grounds of Ardgehane House with Toe head in the foreground.
