The Maid of Erin, Skibbereen, West Cork, Ireland
This statue was erected in 1904 to commemorate four failed uprisings against English rule, the dates of which are engraved on each side of the plinth. The statue was unveiled by the famous Fenian and founder of the Phoenix Society Jeremiah O'Donovan Rossa.
