Boulders and seaweed
Boulders and seaweed
Rough weather has driven large amounts of kelp ashore on this very stony beach face which is dominated by rounded cobbles of limestone. The cobbles and boulders are derived from the erosion of cliffs of boulder clay; an example can be seen in the middle distance.
