Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge
Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge
The bridge links the mainland to the tiny Carrick Island. It is thought salmon fishermen have been erecting bridges to the island for over 350 years, although it is now primarily a tourist attraction owned and maintained by National Trust. The current wire rope and Douglas fir bridge was erected in 2008.
