A Motorbus in Huddersfield Town Centre
Taken in April 1968, this photo shows 482 (KVH 482E) a smart looking 1967 Daimler Fleetline with Roe 75-seater bodywork in John William Street on route 60 from Birkby to Crosland Hill via the town centre. This vehicle was operated by Huddersfield Corporation Passenger Transport, which had trolleybuses working this route until 5th February 1964 after which motorbuses took over. Centrebus and First West Yorkshire now operate bus services in Huddersfield. Trolleybus wiring can be seen above the street, although it would be taken down after the end of trolleybus operation in Huddersfield on the 13th July 1968.
