The remains suggest it was originally a C13 courtyard castle that in 1640 was held by Patrick Geoff. Access is difficult, and this is the best view I could get. This quite impressive structure is in the SE corner of a square bawn, and consists of a four storey circular round tower adjoining a C16 or C17 house within the corner. A similar tower would also have protected the other vulnerable NE corner, now gone. A square tower to the north (not in view) was originally a gatehouse, before being adapted as part of the house.
