Ford slabs plunging falls
Ford slabs plunging falls
Bwlch, at this time the fords were in high spate and I decided not to wade the second as the water was deepening after the first and photography, the prospect of being cut off between two floods and a drop off the side was not inviting, so I went back across ford 1 in twice the water over the boot edge as when arriving, to the car and continued to Gospel Pass before forced to turn back. These are the slab rocks of the Old Red Sandstone on lower section of ford plunging into the gorge. The route was longer to the west than thought and the first hairpin to the Pass, I avoided the white track back toward this site. Thank you.
