Although it was almost two years before the DART started, the overhead wires were in place but trains were still diesel hauled. 158 had arrived with the 11.25 from Pearse and was running round to work the 12.17 back to the same station. From memory the Pearse – Bray timetable was reduced to peak hours only to facilitate the electrification work.
