Common hogweed, Belfast
Common hogweed LinkExternal link growing beside the Lagan towpath. Internet sources suggest that it’s benign unlike its giant cousin LinkExternal link. The giant variety was common along this stretch of the Lagan but (fortunately) most of the specimens I saw today were dead.
