Transport House, Belfast (10)
An internal staircase open to public view – not untypical of buildings of the era in which Transport House was built.
Transport House, Belfast
An office building, at the corner of High Street and Victoria Street, completed in 1959 to a design by JJ Brennan for the Transport and General Workers Union. A good example of the style of the time (with a comradely feel) but now vacant and boarded up. The decorative tiles recall the days when Belfast had a solid base of manufacturing industry. Not on the official “at risk” register but on mine.
