The Sixmilewater, flowing from right to left, as it approaches the Muckamore Bridge J1685 : The Muckamore Bridge (1). The river is high and muddy after a day of continuous heavy rain. What appears to be a confluence is just a short stretch where the river divides – see the satellite photograph.
The Sixmilewater, Co Antrim

The Sixmilewater is longer than the name suggests – approximately 20 miles in total. It rises to the north of Carrickfergus and flows by way of Ballyclare, Dunadry and Antrim town into Lough Neagh.
