This view taken on a frosty morning in December is from the road bridge over the River Bann. Three of Hilltown's four churches - the two Roman Catholic churches and the Anglican church - are dedicated to St John. The two Catholic churches are distinguished by adding the townland name - the one above is St John Ballymaghery. The other is St John Ballymagorian.
