St Patrick's church near Ballymena

Given its proximity to Slemish D2205 : Slemish it is not surprising that there is a church here dedicated to St Patrick. This is St Patrick’s in the parish of Ballyclug alongside the Ballymena to Larne road. The foundation stone was laid on St Patrick’s Day 1853 and the church consecrated in 1855. Despite being so close to the main road the church has a pleasant setting, surrounded by trees.
