SP3379 : North end of Trinity Street, Coventry

taken 11 years ago, near to Coventry, England

North end of Trinity Street, Coventry
North end of Trinity Street, Coventry
Until recently a major thoroughfare for buses, the north end of Trinity Street has been pedestrianised, along with Broadgate (which begins in the foreground as the former street turns west). The picture on the cover of my West Midlands PTE Coventry area timetable book from September 1983 shows a 22 to Willenhall standing at a bus stop located where I stood to take this picture. The large half timbered building further down Trinity Street is a pub called the Flying Standard, which is part of the JD Wetherspoon chain.
