National Inventory of Architectural Heritage Reg. No. 30406502. This building was burnt out during the War of Independence and restored to its original form. A small cottage built around 1870 and used by Patrick Pearse (1879-1916) leader of the 1916 Rising, as a summer residence and summer school for his pupils from St Endas, in Dublin.
