A cleared and tidy site, on the eastern side of the Queen’s Road, close to the Metropolitan College J3575 : The new Belfast Metropolitan College (3) (middle left) and the Public Record Office J3574 : The Public Records Office for Northern Ireland, Belfast just out of picture to the right. I understand that this will be the site for the proposed Belfast Financial Services Centre. J3575 : Titanic Quarter site, Belfast (2013-2) shows the Queen’s Road side.

The new buildings cover a range of uses including apartments, offices, hotel, a college, the Public Record Office for Northern Ireland and the “Titanic Belfast”.

A site in the Titanic Quarter for which there was (20 August 2013) the following application for planning permission: “Z/2013/0931/F Land East of Queen's Road North of Public Records Office of Northern Ireland and South of Belfast Metropolitan College High specification office building (of 6 and 7 storeys) comprising 2,970 sq m of class B1(a) office use and 14,642 sq m of B1 (C) research and development, basement car parking, landscaping, access and associated site works”.
This is an extract from an Department of the Environment press release: “Environment Minister Mark H Durkan has announced planning approval for nearly 3,000 sq m of high specification office space in the Titanic Quarter. ~ Friday, 21 March 2014 The two blocks of six and seven storeys will be located between Belfast Metropolitan College’s Titanic Quarter Campus and the Public Records Office for Northern Ireland. The proposal also includes over 14,000 sq m for research and development plus basement car parking, landscaping, access and associated site works at Queen’s Road. Mark H Durkan said: “It is anticipated that once complete this building will accommodate 2,000 workers at this highly desirable waterfront location”.
