Dufferin statue, Belfast (1)
This statue, in an ornate “temple”, is of the first Marquis of Dufferin. He was Governor-General of Canada, ambassador to Russia and Viceroy of India (although not all at the same time). It stands in the grounds of the City Hall overlooking Donegall Square West. It was jointly composed by Brumwell Thomas and Frederick Pomeroy.
