The Northway, Portadown
The Northway is a through-pass connecting the M12 J0358 : The M1/M12 near Portadown to the roads to Newry and Armagh.
It was built, in part, on the bed of the GNR(I) Portadown/Armagh/Monaghan/Clones/Cavan line - closed in stages between 1957 and 1960 (although a stub remained in Portadown, as a siding to the Metal Box factory on the Brownstown Road until 1965. The level crossing hut remained for another few years).
