Part of the northwest scarp slope of Salisbury Plain. The hillside ridges, or "terracettes", are also known as "sheep tracks". These terracettes are the result of downhill soil-creep over thousands of years, exacerbated by the trampling of livestock, which mostly walk across the hillside rather than up and down it.
