The Royal Hotel and Windsor bar both closed on 20th October 2014. The Royal had been trading for some 241 years J5082 : Before the Royal Hotel, Bangor but had been wound down and was trading through the adjoining bar for some time. Only a few years ago there were grand plans for a major redevelopment described in J5082 : Quay Street, Bangor.
