Up empty Royal Train at Broxbourne & Hoddesdon, 1960
View northward from the Station Road (B194) bridge, down the ex-GER Liverpool Street - Cambridge main line, to a newly rebuilt and electrified Broxbourne station, the junction for the Hertford East branch, suburban electric services to Hertford East having commenced a few days before. The train is probably returning from Wolferton (for Sandringham House) and is headed by Thompson B1 4-6-0 No. 61182 (built 7/47, withdrawn 9/62). (See also TL3707 : Broxbourne & Hoddesdon Station, with train).
