Brindley Bank Pumping Station - barring engine
Hathorn, Davey of Leeds supplied the huge pumping engine that is 105' long but did not seem to supply their own barring engines for moving the main engine for starting or maintenance. This particular vertical duplex example was supplied by Hick, Hargreaves of Bolton and engages with teeth on the inner aspect of the flywheel.
