M2800 : Path to Templecronan

taken 3 years ago, near to Carran, Fahee and Castletown, Clare, Ireland

Path to Templecronan
Path to Templecronan
A rare sight in Ireland, a marked footpath leading across a field towards the ruins of Templecronan. There is evidence that this was a religious site as early as the 7th century, but the present building has nothing earlier than the 11thC.
