W6353 : Railway plaque

taken 2 years ago, near to Farrangalway and Brownsmills, Cork, Ireland

Railway plaque
Railway plaque
A plaque placed on the pinnacle of the arch of a bridge over a narrow country road. This bridge has no purpose now and hasn't for many decades but once formed the crossing of The Cork and Kinsale Junction Railway, just before it entered Farrangalway station to the south of where this picture was taken.

The plaque was placed here by a nearby land owner who is as passionate as I am about remembering railways and stations, now long forgotten by most.
