Omagh's new toilets
Omagh's new toilets
The much debated public toilet facilities, developed at Omagh's Scarffe's Entry, have at last opened for use this week. Comprising a urinal and three other separate units, the facility is said to have been constructed to the highest standards of modern design and quality, and indeed are "designed to be easily maintained and resistant to vandalism and abuse".
The three separate units are for unisex use and are not separated into male and female, with all three including baby changing facilities, and indeed with one of the units having been constructed for disabled users. Access to the Disabled toilet is available 24 hours a day with the use of a RADAR key, while the remainder of the toilet facility is open 9am - 9pm daily.
Omagh District Council have confirmed that their construction was completed within the allocated budget, and that the "superloo" facility, previously situated at Johnston Car Park, will be relocated to another area of the town to provide further access to public toilets.
