East Boldre airfield - former Officers Mess
The core of this building built in 1917 is now East Boldre village hall. It served as the Officers Mess (and later a YMCA canteen) at the flying training school of RFC Beaulieu that was established here on the heath in 1915. It is the sole surviving building.
