taken 7 years ago, near to Isle of Whithorn, Dumfries And Galloway, Scotland

Navigation Tower, Isle Head
Navigation Tower, Isle Head
At one time a coastguard officer used to sit in a small hut beside where the tower is now watching the ships. This was when the Isle of Whithorn was a busy harbour taking in large ships from all over the world and transferring the cargo to smaller boats that navigated the Solway Firth delivering to the shallower harbours.
