J3474 : Nos 93-95 Ann Street, Belfast (January 2017)
taken 7 years ago, near to Belfast, Co Antrim, Northern Ireland
A site, at the corner of Oxford Street and Ann Street currently (February 2014) occupied by a former branch of the Bank of Ireland and a derelict warehouse, for which there have been two abandoned proposals for redevelopment. The latest (Z/2012/0251/O) envisages a six-storey building with 24 apartments on the five upper floors and demolition of the building behind (the former Riddel’s warehouse). The photographs submitted by me appear as a matter of neutral geographical and historical record only and should not be interpreted as expressing any opinion, for or against, the proposed development. The buildings are numbered 93-95 (former bank) and 87-91 (former warehouse).
The most recent application (31 March 2017) envisages retaining the building “LA04/2017/0779/F Refurbishment of office building and 4 storey rear extension and first and second floor rear extension. Elevation changes. 93-95 Ann Street Belfast BT1 3HH”.
