Another view of Baldwin no 2 at the then northern terminus of the Brecon Mountain Railway after a journey hauling a train from the southern terminus at Pant Station, to the north of Merthyr Tydfil. This 4-6-2 locomotive, of 47 tons, was built by Baldwin of Philadelphia USA in 1930 for the East Province Cement Company of Port Elizabeth, South Africa. In 1973 it was a runaway and was wrecked. Bought by the Brecon Mountain Railway it is now one of the locos which hauls trains from Pant Station to the northern terminus of the Railway at Torpantau. Source: breconmountainrailway.co.uk.
