Alpacas
The Alpaca is a South American pack animal found in Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Chile. Along with its cousin the Llama it is a member of the Camelid family.
Alpacas have been popular in the UK since the 1990s and were bred for their wool which at the time was worth significantly more than that of sheep. Now they are generally bred as pets.
