Pillbox (variant): DoB ID: S0011347

One of several pillboxes that were constructed as part of the harbour defences at Holyhead. This example is located at the landward end of the breakwater, and was originally a small harbour building of local stone that was modified to create a defensive position. Loopholes have been cut through, and a rough concrete slab added to the roof. A blast wall protects the entrance doorway.
