A sleeping shelter for night fighter aircrew. It once accommodated up to 22 men in 11 partitioned cubicles. These and the external blast walls have since been removed, along with the original entrance in the southern end that was widened to allow access post-war for farm animals. Fighter pilots of No. 96 (Night Fighter) Squadron would have used the shelter during their time here. They operated MkI Hurricanes at Cranage from the latter half of 1940 until October 1941.
