Machine Gun Emplacement: DoB ID: e28150

On the south side adjacent to the Battle HQ is a modified brick and concrete-built machine gun post with a light anti-aircraft position. It had a dual role with an anti-aircraft machine gun position at one end, and a point defence position at the other. It housed four men, armed with light machine guns. In the centre of the two positions is an underground ammunition store that also provided a shelter for the gun crew. It was also protected by earth banking that has since eroded away.
