Imber: the 23a bus passes the old Bell Inn
The roads on the firing ranges of Salisbury Plain are open only a few days a year, and often this coincides with the August bank holiday weekend. On this day, the route is served by many London buses, both traditional Routemasters and modern vehicles, with regular services running between Warminster Station and Market Lavington.
Here, one of the buses passes the old Bell Inn (see
ST9648 : Time, gentlemen, please) as it approaches the bus stop set up by the church.
