Slade Castle in the picturesque fishing village of Slade. The original tower house was built by the Laffin family in the late 1400s who continued to develop it over the successive centuries. After the 1641 Rebellion it was used for storage until the 19th century, when it was converted into ‘tenements’ for three families involving the addition of new windows, doors and external stairs,
