Cardonagh Crosses - David the Harpist
Cardonagh Crosses - David the Harpist
The two smaller, pillar stones shown in C4645 : Cardonagh Church both carry carvings similar to those found on the high cross. On the north pillar King David is represented as a harpist on the east side and as a warrior on the west side. On the north side of this pillar is a large fish and a small bird, and the south side depicts spirals. In this view, we are looking at the south and west sides.
