Taken by a small slipway where the tractor is probably employed in the launching of boats. Passing by in the Menai Strait is the 'Queen of the Sea', a historic vessel built in 1937 as a ferry for use between Long Island and Fire island, New York. Her colourful career includes time as 'HMS Macaw', based at Holyhead during WW2 before finally being converted as a pleasure cuiser based at Rhyl, Falmouth, Plymouth, and now at Caernarfon.
