The entrance to the original building was protected by a blast wall containing one of the two surviving loops. Existing foundations suggest that the blast wall may at one time have been connected by a right-angled side wall to the other loopholed structure behind it. Rusted rolled steel joists (now removed) also suggest that the building may also have had a roof, possibly as part of a camouflage scheme.
