No.9 Humber Dock Street originally opened 1811 as the Humber Dock Coffee House, becoming the New Dock Tavern in 1826, and Humber Dock Tavern in 1839. It was refronted 1907 with green tiling and ceramic ornamentation, giving rise to the public house being known as 'Green Bricks'. At left, No.10 is a modern extension to the original public house. After having traded under the name Green Bricks for many years, the venue has recently reverted to the Humber Dock Tavern, newly described as a bar and grill.
