SH5137 : The line to Criccieth

taken 7 years ago, near to Pentrefelin, Gwynedd, Wales

The line to Criccieth
The line to Criccieth
Once the route of the GWR's Cambrian Coast Express which ran all the way from Paddington to Pwllheli in the days of steam. This section would most likely be pulled by a GWR 'Manor' class 4-6-0 locomotive, the faster 'Castle' class being too heavy for the lines in Wales.
