Chichester Street (lower), Belfast
The lower end of Chichester Street houses the High Court (left), the Stamp Office (the single-storey building in the centre), the Bar Library (the modern building – counsel in NI do not use the system of “chambers”), the County Court in the old Town Hall (red-brick building on the right) and the Laganside Magistrate’s Court (right). After many years of fortification the sentry boxes and fences have been removed and the street landscaped. It is becoming popular with skateboarders. The view is towards Victoria Street.
