Pillbox - shellproof (type FW3/28A): DoB ID: S0011910

The limitation of the original type 28 pillbox design was its single infantry position seen here at the embrasure on the left. The type 28A remedied this deficiency by the provision of a second adjoining chamber with three more infantry positions (see next photo).
